Safari Pets is pleased to announce that we are now the exclusive distributor for the new Fluval G line of filters for Southern Vancouver Island (From Nanimo to the southern tip).
The Fluval G line of filters represent years of research and development from Hagen and is now being touted as the new standard for aquarium filtration. These filters are not only very well built, and technologically advanced but they are extremely stylish. Each filter is manufactured in a glossy black finish and detailed with high quality aluminum accents.
Each filter is designed as a 3 stage filter. The first stage is intended as a Mechanical pre-filter, followed by a chemical filter and finally a large biological filter. Water flow rates through this filter are less than typical canister filter models as the filter is designed to provide long contact of the water to the filter media (this is more in line with the standard that European filters have been using for years, but is a relatively new idea in the North American market).
The Mechanical and Chemical Filter modules are designed to be easy to replace and can be changed or cleaned without having to dismantle the entire filter body (like almost every other canister on the market today). This feature sets the Fluval G apart from the rest and makes maintenance a snap.
As if the new design elements weren’t enough Hagen has included an embedded computer in the unit which monitors several elements of the filter to provide you with real time stats on how the unit is performing (such as media life, temperature and conductivity).
We are getting our first shipment of these units within the next few weeks and will have a demo unit on display so you can see it in action, come on in and take a look!
