Safari Pets has been in business since 1998. In 2001, Safari Pets was acquired by Ted Vermeulen as a way of expanding Spechts Pets clientele, and making the leap into the high end freshwater and saltwater hobby.

With a large storefront, highly qualified staff, and huge inventory Safari Pets and Aquatics is positioned to compete fairly with the Vancouver market, while still providing the one on one personalized service that island living is known for.
